Continental Tire partnered with National EV and XCharge to deploy (3) C7 320 kW DC fast chargers at their proving grounds in Uvalde, Texas. The installation supports tire testing for a leading electric vehicle OEM, ensuring rapid recharging for continuous testing cycles.

Phase 1: Discovery & Needs Assessment

Continental Tire, referred to XCharge by National EV, needed high-speed EV charging to support frequent tire testing. With EVs demanding more from tires, the goal was to ensure reliable, fast charging for multiple daily test cycles.

Phase 4: Technology Integration & Go-Live Support

Upon commissioning (expected in July 2025), the chargers will enable Continental to:

  • Maintain uptime with local, responsive service
